Parent Techniques to Promote Early Literacy

These activity sheets have been developed for use by all parents who want to help children develop literacy skills.  Children who have speech and language disorders are at risk for difficulties with literacy development. These simple activities are easy to follow and will help your child to:

  1. Expand their vocabulary
  2. Increase their awareness of the link between letters and sounds
  3. Learn to follow a story and increase their comprehension
  4. Learn to predict what happens next in the story
